Mankatha Movie Teaser Launched By Cloud Nine

Mankatha is a forthcoming Indian Tamil action, comedy and thriller film written and directed by Venkat Prabhu. It will feature Ajith Kumar in the lead role, making it his 50th film, along with an ensemble cast including Arjun, Trisha Krishnan, Sneha, Vaibhav Reddy, Lakshmi Rai and Premji Amaren. The film, to be produced and distributed by Dhayanidhi Alagiri's Cloud Nine Movies, was formally launched in August 2010 and is expected to release on 1 May 2011.

Mankatha Opening Song Composed By Yuvan

After all preparations, Thala’s ‘Mankatha’ takes off with the first track composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Venkat Prabhu has happily announced this sweet lovable brother Yuvan Shankar Raja has done a overmastering job with his title track. The composing was completed last night. Yuvan Shankar Raja was suffering from severe throat pain and yet he made it bigger and stunning as the crew was astounded with the track. Venkat Prabhu and Yuvan Shankar Raja have worked together many times. In fact, Yuvan would compose tunes for his films within few hours. But as it is Thala’s very special project and his 50th film, he has been taking a long time for the best track. Yuvan Shankar Raja has already overwhelmed us with the outstanding songs for Thala Ajith Kumar in ‘Billa’. Who can forget the powerful theme music as our star walks with gigantic looks and the song ‘Yeh Sala’ that made our Ajith shake legs so ravishingly. Let us keep our fingers crossed that our Thala-Yuvan combination brings us the unimaginable levels of best music of all times.

Mankatha will come with many surprises

"Since the phrase 'Ulle Veliye' (The tagline of the movie) conveys a lot of meanings besides aptly supporting the movie's name, Venkat Prabhu decided it to have it as the subtitle of the racy entertainer," say sources in the know. The movie will come with many surprises. Some top young actors, who admire Ajith a lot, have expressed interest to be part of the Thala's 50th film. They all will join hands to make this venture the biggest ever multistarrer of Kollywood.

Yuvan sings with dad for Mankatha

Ajith’s ‘Mankatha’ is changing to top gear sooner than expected and Venkat Prabhu is in full control of the game. The director is planning to have all the songs ready before the shoot starts and Yuvan Shankar Raja is also matching the spirit of Venkat Prabhu and recording them. As always, ‘Mankatha’ will also have terrific songs, Yuvan says. The highlight of the music album and also the film later is going to be a song sung by Ilaiyaraja and Yuvan Shankar Raja together. It is for the first time that this dad-son combo has rendered their voices to feature in the same song. It’s going to be a treat, you bet. And on the field, the shooting of Mankatha will start on 25th October. Venkat Prabhu is planning the release of the film next year on Ajith's birthday which is May 1.

Mankatha Fight Sequences Getting Ready

Mangatha and team are always in spotlight and can never escape from limelight. There were no news as of where the crew is presently. Sources from Mankatha crew say that the team is in Chennai ( not taking rest ) but busy shooting the fight sequences in Binny Mills, Chennai. Sources also confirm that the shooting will progress for a week and director is in plan to finish the fight sequences as soon as possible within the one week time.
